You stole my heart long, long ago and I've always known you were the one for me. I stand here today having never been more sure of anything in my life. You were made for me and I was made for you. I love you with a depth words cannot express. You still give me butterflies when you look into my eyes. Our love has also weathered storms in life but we've come out stronger with more character and depth because we've come out together. Thank you for 'holding up my umbrella' when the 'rain' was coming down too hard and I was scared from all the 'thunder and lightning' of this world. Thank you for pointing out to me the beautiful rainbow thats left in the sky as a sign of God's faithfullness to us.

Today is the first day

of the rest of my life...

In lieu of night shifts ending and a normal schedule starting I have decided to join weight watchers. This is something I have wanted to do for awhile but couldn't commit to with working the insane schedule I previously had. Now I can :) OCAHS has a session beginning the first week I start at the clinic - now that's timing! The meetings are held at work every Wednesday so it's very convenient.

My goal - loose 20lbs in 12 weeks!

10 Things You Probably Don't Know...

about me.

1.I'm not the best with directions.

1. I am constantly lost and have no sense of direction.

I'm telling the truth. According to my husband I was "born without bearings". I'm quite convinced that if you blindfolded me, and placed me somewhere even in the town I live in, I might struggle to find my way back home. Lets just say Brady and I are a match-made-in-heaven in this regard since he could probably one-up-rand-mc-nally-himself. Just sayin.

2. I am right handed, however I usually eat left handed.

3. I am always hot, I will someday do the polar bear plunge to prove my point.

4. I read magazines back to front. Always have.

When reading a good novel I usually flip to the back and read the last few chapters because I can't wait to find out how it will end. Talk about ruining the suspense!

5. According to my husband, I laugh and talk in my sleep often.

6. I sported a "bullet" (mullet/bowlcut) as a child. Thanks Mom.

7. I have a nervous habbit.

I don't particularly like talking in large groups of people and when I do I often times do this hand-to-face guesture subconsciously.

8. When I get to laughing really hard, especially around my family, my laugh sounds like Farkus off the Christmas Story. It gets my family everytime.

9. I can't eat cereal without smacking like a kid with a lollipop.

10. I prefer to listen to my music at the loudest decible I can physically stand.

Literally, a good song comes on, I turn it up to the point of pain and then back down one notch...perfect. When jamming to music in my car, I dance like no one is watching - J Lo ain't got nothin on me ;)

Career Change

Okay, so I'm officially a lot later than I wished to be. I was planning to post about this new, exciting, news last Saturday, but the week got away from me so here I am this Saturday finally finding making time.

Last Friday I accepted a job offer with Orange City Area Health System (the same place I work for now) as a clinic triage nurse. I will be working with 4 specific doctors and will start there the middle of June. This position is an answer to prayer. The hours of this new position are simply beautiful...Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 7:30 to 5:00pm.

Oh,and every 10th Saturday morning, which barely counts since I'm used to working every third weekend and Holiday three 12hr shifts in a row.

I have waited 2 years for a "normal" schedule with no weekends, holidays, or overnites and I plan to fully embrace it.

Weekend Bliss

We had a beautiful weekend full of sunshine. Friday we went to the Tulip Festival for the afternoon parade and enjoyed the sunny day. We were glad to be able to use our fire pit Friday night. To be honest, after the winter we had, I wasn't sure if we'd ever be able to see it again, let alone use it. Glad I was wrong!

Friday also brought with it exciting and much awaited news...more to come on that next post :)

Saturday was the type of typical day I'm sure someday I will look back on and miss greatly. It's too easy to take it forgranted. Brady and I both slept in and then worked on different little projects around the house.

My project - planting flowers. Ahh do I love this time of year.







Brady's project - fix his pickup's door handle that mysteriously stopped working.


Our project together - hang new curtains in our sitting room which will soon have furniture :)




We enjoyed spending time with our Firm Foundation church group as we went to Sioux Falls out to eat and then to Thunder Road. We had perfect weather had fun catching up with our group.
